What is a p5 fusion calculator?
A p5 fusion calculator is a vital tool for players of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. In the game, players can fuse two or more Personas to create a new, often more powerful, one. This calculator helps you predict the exact Persona that will be created from the fusion of any two Personas in the game. Understanding and utilizing a p5 fusion calculator is key to mastering the Velvet Room and completing your Persona Compendium efficiently.
P5 Fusion Calculator Formula and Explanation
Persona fusion is not random; it follows a strict set of rules based on the Arcana and base level of the Personas being fused. The formula is as follows:
Resulting Persona’s Level = Floor(((Base Level of Persona 1 + Base Level of Persona 2) / 2) + 1)
The resulting Arcana is determined by a fixed fusion chart. Once the resulting Arcana and level are calculated, the game will produce the Persona of that Arcana with the closest, but not lower, base level.
| Variable | Meaning | Unit | Typical Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base Level of Persona 1 | The initial level of the first Persona being fused. | Level | 1-99 |
| Base Level of Persona 2 | The initial level of the second Persona being fused. | Level | 1-99 |
| Resulting Arcana | The Arcana of the Persona created by the fusion. | Arcana | Fool, Magician, Priestess, etc. |
Practical Examples
Here are a couple of examples to illustrate how the p5 fusion calculator works:
Example 1: Arsene + Pixie
- Inputs: Arsene (Fool, Level 1) + Pixie (Lovers, Level 2)
- Calculation: Floor(((1 + 2) / 2) + 1) = Floor(2.5) = 2. The resulting Arcana from Fool + Lovers is Chariot.
- Result: The Chariot Persona with the lowest base level is Agathion at level 3.
Example 2: Jack-o’-Lantern + Mandrake
- Inputs: Jack-o’-Lantern (Magician, Level 2) + Mandrake (Death, Level 3)
- Calculation: Floor(((2 + 3) / 2) + 1) = Floor(3.5) = 3. The resulting Arcana from Magician + Death is Temperance.
- Result: The Temperance Persona with the closest base level to 3 is Koppa Tengu at level 11, as there are no Temperance personas with a base level between 3 and 10.

Key Factors That Affect p5 fusion calculator Results
- Arcana Combinations: The Arcana of the two fused Personas determines the Arcana of the resulting Persona. This is a fixed mechanic and essential for planning your fusions.
- Base Level: The base levels of the fusing Personas are used in a formula to determine the base level of the resulting Persona. The result is always rounded up.
- Treasure Demons: Fusing with a Treasure Demon results in a Persona of the same Arcana but of a higher or lower rank.
- Special Fusions: Some powerful Personas require specific combinations of three or more Personas to be fused.
- DLC Personas: If you own any DLC Personas, they can alter the results of your fusions. Our calculator allows you to toggle DLC Personas on or off.
- Fusion Accidents: There’s a small chance a fusion will fail, resulting in an unexpected Persona. This is a random event and cannot be predicted by a p5 fusion calculator.
